The Data Center housing our Windows Server is OnNet with Level(3)
and and Qwest, and includes private peering network connections
to major Internet carriers such as MCI, Sprint, UUNET, EUNET,
AT&T, AOL, Best, Erols, @Home, IBM Advantis. Having two Tier-1
backbone providers eliminates downtime since if one provider goes
down, the other kicks in.
Their routing software uses BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) between
2 OC3's, thus maintaining download speed of sites.
